Thought we'd go check out this relatively new drinking establishment in downtown Marrickville. Tucked right in the middle of a sea of excellent Vietnamese restaurants on Illawarra Road, it's not easy making the choice to have standard pub food instead..... but you know, there was an untasted schnitzel waiting to be tried.
In hindsight, I would have preferred a bowl of pho, but i ploughed on. The schnitzel was the usual shape and quality and was covered in tasty (the type, not the adjective) cheese and tomato sauce... nothing to write home about, really. The chips, however, we coated in some kind of excellent mystery coating that made them taste very lovely indeed. The salad... well, it was a salad.
Overall.... the atmosphere was pleasant... but i wouldn't go out of my way to schnitzel there again.
Note: they have daily specials.... so it's actually worth checking the menu out.
