South Sydney Graphic Arts Club, Mascot

South Sydney Graphic Arts Club, Mascot

Date: 15th February, 2012
Price: $19.90
Type: chicken
With: potatoes, salad and mushroom sauce

So you walk into a club in Mascot (a predominant sea of industry and high-rise apartments) that for some reason claims to be affiliated with the graphic arts industry there's instant confusion. The decor is fancy, the clientele is less than fancy. The bistro also appears fancy with the table service, fancy cushions and dangly light fittings, and "fancy" prices, so there's a lot to expect.

For $19.90 I was expecting something slightly more fancy, but as the schnitzel was cooked perfectly (look at it; it's like a beautiful sunset) i really couldn't complain. The mushroom sauce was very tasty and the potatoes were nice and crunchy. The perfect anti-shoestring-fried.

Would i go back? Well, only if i was in Mascot for some other reason. Ten pin bowling anyone?
