Paddo Tavern

Paddo Tavern Paddington, Brisbane

Date: 18.5.2010
Price: $24 (but 2 for 1 meals - for some reason)
Type: Chicken
With: Chips and salad

Well... could this have been the most boganic pub that i've ever been to? Stools with saddles instead of flat surfaces to put ones bottoms on. An over-arching cowboy theme. mmm Pig racing?

Anyway... the schnitzel, although on the small side, was quite tasty. The chips were also tasty. Not so sure about the excess spring onion all over the shop. For $24 this would have been quite the rip-off, but when its  2 for 1 deal, you really cant go wrong.

Bavarian Bier Cafe

Bavarian Bier Cafe, York St, Sydney
Date: 8th May, 2010
Type: Chicken
Price: $24.50
With: Salad (some variety of lettuce and three slices of radish), lemon, warm potato salad and mystery sauce.

So.... really.... for $25 I was really quite unimpressed with this meal. Small and kinda tasteless. The mystery sauce was quite nice, but the potato salad didn't rate, in my books.
The venue was big and loud and the service was kinda shite. Not to mention having to endure various hens night (although i was impressed by the group of girls that instead of helping their friend off the floor took photos of her when she fell backwards off her chair).

Newcastle Panthers

Newcastle Panthers, King St, Newcastle (or Newcastle Workers Club as I'll always know it)

Well..... I'm not sure how much it costs or what day it was bought on (although i recall it was the night that Bluejuice played).... and i didn't even eat it myself. But from all reports, this schnitzel was quite pleasant. Eaten by a typical boy who orders food "without salad" because he's a hard man.... or something like that. Chips and gravy all the way. A touch on the small side.... but what can you expect for a bogan haven that sells $3 vodkas.

Aah Newcastle, I love you.

Shakespeare Hotel

Shakespeare Hotel, Surry Hills, Sydney
Date: A few weeks ago
Price: $10 (same as the rest of the menu)
Type: chicken
With: chips, salad and mushroom sauce

So.... apparently this was quite a decent schnitzel. A little strange as to how is was bent in the middle, but hey... it just kinda looked like a butterfly.... a giant crumbed butterfly.... mmm.

The other meals at the pub are not too shabby either..... just for future reference. mmm.
